About FCLC
Pastor Charles Burnett-Morrow came out in 1989 and began his journey into LGBT Affirming, progressive ministry in 1993. He and his life-partner, Tommy, have been together since 2001. They legally married as soon as this was available to them in 2015. A new career opportunity caused Pastor Charles and Tommy to move to Huntsville, Alabama in February 2023. After ministering more than 21 years in Dallas, TX, their relocation meant that his ministry would also have to move. Due to a well-established online ministry with hundreds of online members, we had to get services up and running as quickly as we could once completing our move. We began conducting services in Decatur, AL, on March 5th, 2023, sharing them live online, via Facebook & YouTube, as we had been doing in Dallas for many years. We moved our ministry to Nashville, Tennessee in August, 2024. We have a powerful vision! All we need is you to help us realize our progressive vision.
FCLC is a Progressive ministry which welcomes and affirms ALL who wish to know and serve the Lord Jesus Christ in truth! Whether you are straight, gay, black, white, rich, poor, old or young; you will find a warm and sincere welcome at FCLC. We are not here to tear down but rather to build up. The very word "Gospel" means, "good news." At FCLC we preach the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ for all, without exceptions or apologies. We have no "second class citizens" in our church. If you love the Lord and serve Him sincerely, you are welcome to not only attend and worship, but also to fully take part in our ministries! At FCLC we like to say; "Our hearts, our minds, and our arms are open!" Welcome!
We are not today all that we envision being, but we are well on our way! As the people and resources become available, we will be expanding our ministries and offering so much more for folks of all ages and life circumstances! We have a vision which includes children's ministries, youth ministries, a drop-in recreation center, a Bible and Christian book store, coffee shop, thrift shop and drama ministry. Come worship, learn, grow, and work for the Lord with us!
